In Shell Survivor, a trapped spud has to claw his way through the graveyard of an alien, lost spaceship, where chaos reigns supreme for him. All you need to do is survive as you guide your alien through 20 waves to escape, gathering resources and building up a large armament along the way.
It's non-stop action, with 20 to 90 seconds per round, so you'd better have quick reactions. (Auto-aim and shoot for your potato hero, so all the real fun in the game is crazy dodging and looting.) Crashing into a group of elites will chew up your health bar, so you have to constantly keep an eye on your surroundings to avoid trouble.
These action-packed bursts are separated by time in the shop for some rest and upgrades before the next proper fight. Each purchase is a smart decision before the swarm attacks.

Become a Walking Fortress with Up to Six Weapon Wielders at a Time. Combine and upgrade duplicate items to tier 4 in the store to maximize their impact on the wave 20 boss.
Build your Shell Survivor with 136 unique items and stat improvements, ranging from Common to Legendary. Kite 39 different enemies, either with speed, turrets, or landmines.
Shell Survivor will get your attention if you're looking for a slower-paced roguelite more focused on a narrative, since it's not entirely unlike Brotato in the way it serves up bite-sized, 20-wave helpings of crisping, screen-clearing fun. Not complex exploration, but build variation and weaving around creatures in an arena. Masochistic min-maxers will find a home learning 17 different starters over 7 levels of difficulty, and time-stretched types looking for a rapid hit of adrenaline will adore the tight framework and scaling Endless mode.
The multitude of combinations, from rocket launchers to grown fruit gardens, makes each run feel mechanically distinct as well as hugely rewarding. For sheer arcade joy, there's nothing quite like bouncing a built synergy off an elite alien. But the tight arena can feel suffocating in the final cosmetic 90-second waves, and the smallest errant movement punishes you in dramatic fashion if you forget to give priority to crowd-control items.
The alien hordes gather in seconds, and the spaceship is destroyed. Fire up Shell Survivor immediately and unite your weapons, so you can beat Nightmare difficulty! If you want more screen-filling, crazy action, try Marble Shooter out for your reflex skills.
